 Basic Requirements of Pet Policy for Cabin 

The majority of the pets that are flying with United fly carry-on. Pets flying carry on can be with their owner in the Cabin. But carry-on options are only for small pets except for service animals. The pets fly with their carrier in cabins. For pets to fly carry-on, there are certain requirements that have to be followed by the owners.

Age Requirements

All the pets that are flying with the airlines must be 2 months old for domestic flights within the United States. For international flights, the pet must be at least 4 months old to fly. All the pets flying should have a rabies vaccination before flying with United. 

Pet Carrier Requirements

For a flight within the U.S. exceeding 4 hours stopover or for an international flight exceeding more than 24 hours stopover, the airline charges around $125 USD

If you are traveling with your pet on international flights, then make sure that the pet is at least 6 months old. No pet less than 6 months old is allowed to travel internationally.
